Light, Camera, Take Action Film Festival
6 p.m. Friday, Colorado State University, Behavioral Sciences Building Room A101, Fort Collins. The Light, Camera, Take Action Film Festival, sponsored by FoCo Cafe and CSU Swipe Out Hunger, seeks to highlight food insecurity and poverty in Fort Collins. The festival will showcase one long-format documentary – “The Starfish Throwers” – and other local short films and photographs. Four CSU students have helped organize a special event to highlight food insecurity in the Fort Collins community on May 5.
The “Lights, Camera, Take Action Film Festival and Contest” is being run by social work graduate student Mallory Andrews and three members of the President’s Leadership Program: senior chemistry major Lindsey Paricio, junior sociology major Haley Chatwin and senior theatre major Abigail Jordan.
